Delete your Helogram account

You can delete your Helogram account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

How

• In the app or on the website: open Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. This takes effect immediately.
• By email: if you can't sign in, email aniketkumargaikwad@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it's you and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile (name, username, photo, bio, business details), your posts, Beams, photos, videos and the files you uploaded, your comments, Hypes and tags, your saved posts and follows, your chat messages and the photos, videos, voice notes and documents you sent, your location and neighbourhood, and your settings.

What is kept, and for how long

Indian law (the IT Rules, 2021) requires us to keep the registration details of a deleted account for 180 days. So we keep only your name, email, mobile number and sign-up date for 180 days after deletion, then erase them permanently. They are not linked to any content, never shown to anyone, and used only if the law requires (for example, a lawful request from the police). We also keep anything else the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.

Copies other people already made -- a screenshot, or a photo saved from a chat -- are outside our control.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account.
